The Life and Legacy of Kurt Douglas

“Though a life may be cut short, its impact can echo for generations.”

On February 14, 2023, the world lost a bright light far too soon.Kurt Levaughn Douglas was more than an ambitious young man — he was a dreamer, a doer, and a force of joy.His love for people, music, and the environment continues to inspire this foundation.Through every project, we carry forward his spirit of creativity, connection, and hope.

Kurt had a rare ability to communicate with clarity and warmth, making others feel seen and understood. Whether speaking about environmental issues, sports, or everyday life, his knowledge and enthusiasm left an impression on everyone who listened.Music was his sanctuary. With no formal training, Kurt taught himself to play the keyboard, an instrument that became a vessel for his creativity and joy. He also loved the thrill of competition, whether through video games, where he often outplayed his friends, or through dominoes, where his laughter and playful spirit filled the room, especially when he and his partner won against older challengers.Kurt lived fully, laughed wholeheartedly, and dreamed boldly. His life was cut short before he could realize all he set out to achieve, but his spirit continues to inspire. He will always be remembered not only for his goals and ambitions but for the love, joy, and passion he brought to those fortunate enough to know him.Today, we carry forward his legacy by building something lasting in his honor. By supporting this foundation, you are helping ensure that Kurt’s dreams live on in the pursuit of education, in opportunities for young people, and in the creation of brighter futures.

Kurt’s story reminds us: though a life may be cut short, its impact can echo for generations.
